Duchess
 

It was truly a privilege bringing Duchess to life.   Many months ago, had a vision of a lamp I wanted to build but finding the perfect porcelain figure to match this vision proved to be quite a challenge.   Finally, after searching high and low, I found her at Barbara's Hands On Antiques in Errington (a fabulous store).  The shade is lined with silk and overlaid with a beautiful teal fabric covered in lilies and beaded appliques.  I added an extra decorative trim along the bottom edge and dyed it with same mix I created to dye the fringe and the beaded appliques.  The shade is larger than it appears in my photos - 14" wide by 10" high.  The lamp overall (including finial) is 28 inches tall.  $1100
