French Lacy
This gal was many months in the making, mainly due to number of strands I needed to do for the beaded fringe. Each and every strand in the fringe has numerous crystals and expensive beads, making this lamp a costly one for me to complete. I dyed the silk in gradient red (watermelon) to mauve and overlaid this with lacy mesh, before cutting up some beautiful French lace I had shipped over from Europe and creating the appliques you see in the photos. This is actually the third lamp base I worked on to match the shade. I got downright creative with the one I finally decided was good enough and I think it turned out fantastic. There are 8 pink crystal strands dropping from the interior (of the base) which add to the overall elegance of this lamp. French Lacy is a tall girl at 39 inches. Shade is is 16 inches at widest point. $2450
